“A towering force in modern Nordic music” (fRoots)
Afeginn has since its beginning in 2002 challenged the musical universe they operate in with ever new styles and forms of expression in their music and arrangement. It started with inspiration from Eastern-Europe, and it still has a big part of the sound, but Kim Nyberg and the others have been inspired by so much more. It floats seamlessly between klezmer, balkan, film noir, nordic folk and dreaming musical epos.
The latest release «Opus» is a good example of just this. IT is one long 84 minute long opus that gives you no breaks through its four acts. The album got no less than four awards at this years “Danish Music Award for 2016” and has received great acclaim in both Denmark and abroad.
