A master with roots in Persian klassisk musikk.
Javid Afsari Rad Ensemble was established in 2007 and together they play compositions inspired by Persian, Indian and Arabic musical traditions, composed by Javid. He grew up in Iran, but after having lived in Norway for 30 years his music has become more and more colored by western classical music. The ensemble consists of well renowned musicians from classical, world and jazz music. As a guest for the festival, the ensemble has brought saxophonist and opera singer Håkon Kornstad to this concert.
