She has the world at her feet - and this November, she will visit Norway for the very first time.
YEИDRY has been described by Pitchfork as “the limitless pop star of tomorrow”. Fitting words for a Dominican-Italian artist who wears her diverse cultural upbringing on her sleeve. She is a remarkable singer, equally at home in 90’s pop and R&B, latin and electronic music. She made her first big breakthrough in Italy, sings in Spanish and currently divides her time between Europe and the US. Her family is from the Dominican Republic, they moved to Italy when she was four. She achieved popularity through participation in X Factor and as a singer in the electronic band Materianera. After the release of the singles “Barrio” and “Nena”, she achieved international popularity and signed with RCA/ Sony Latin.
2021 became her breakout year, having collaborated with J. Balvin, Damian Marley, Mozart La Para and Emotional Oranges. She performed alongside some of her biggest inspirations, R&B icon Mary J. Blige and Jazmine Sullivan at the iconic Apollo Theatre in Harlem, New York. She finished off the year by being the face of Spotify’s campaigns ‘Frequency’ and ‘Equal’. 2022 saw YENDRY nominated as best new Female Artist for the 2022 Premio Lo Nuestro. She has gotten back on stage after the pandemic and made her debut appearances at festivals like Lollapalooza Paris and Montreux Jazz Festival. YEИDRY will drop her much anticipated debut album in 2023.
