Where the East meets the North!
Mames Babeganush is a wild live orchestra that has toured the world since its inception in 2004, and played on stages and festivals such as Carnegie Hall in New York, the Royal Danish Theater in Copenhagen, Roskilde, Festspillene in Bergen and the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival.
The musical references of the band are strong Scandinavian roots intertwined with fierce dance music from Eastern Europe. The atmosphere of Nordic pine forests and colorful wedding parties in Romania creates a mix of Nordic winter melancholy and ecstatic joy. The group has spent the last 16 years perfectionizing their interpretation of traditional Jewish and Eastern European folk music, and now they are finally coming to Oslo World and Riksscenen!
