In this workshop, the company together with the participants try to develop an original form of creativity by asking themselves: What is the power of a meaningful vocabulary? What are their responsibilities as artists?
During the process, they come across words that are danced instead of spoken. Words that get stuck deep in the throat and free themselves – that follow the body in a kind of rebellion of hope. An energy of life, of human encounters – of trial and error – will be part of the questioning. The energy is always looking for stability.
Together with the participants, the body will be used politically, just as in the various dance works and performances of the company.
Faso Danse Théâtre is committed to developing powerful contemporary dance that is always rooted in emotion, yet full of reflection and hope.
For the company, dance is a social promise and a necessity. It is based on the artistic work of choreographer Serge Aimé Coulibaly.
The workshop is free and open to everyone.
Wardrobes not available. Workshop participants must arrive fully warmed up.
