Tramhaus, Sturle Dagsland, Full Earth and Red Kite to Oslo World

Three more acts to Oslo World!

TRAMHAUS

This year, at Oslo World, the post-punk sensation Tramhaus will perform at Goldie. The members of the ferocious five-piece from Rotterdam has said that they founded the band out of pure boredom. We assume it did the trick – in a short timespan, the band has built a reputation as one of Europe’s most ferocious live acts, combining wild energy with tight precision. Tramhaus covers a lot of ground, from dense and dreamy shoegaze textures to punk rock fury, channeled through memorable song writing.

STURLE DAGSLAND

Shamanic noise, hauntingly beautiful experimental vocal, electronics and explosive, performance-driven concerts. There’s nothing quite like Sturle Dagsland on the Norwegian music scene. He has been everywhere, from the Nyege Nyege festival in Uganda to Shanghai and New York. He has played packed clubs in Japan and China an major European festivals. In 2022, he received the Norwegian Edvard Prize in the challenger category together with his brother Sjur for the album Sturle Dagsland – a snippet from the jury statement gives an idea of the unpredictable mix: “This album is neither an genre exercise nor a schoolboy transgression, – no – this is the lost adopted child of Björk on LSD, it is a nightmare version of Aurora and abstracted Korn.”

FULL EARTH + RED KITE

When Full Earth and Red Kite play together at Goldie during Oslo World, one can talk about a meeting between two generations of bands that have contributed greatly to the Norwegian music scene being known for heavy, experimental and improvisational rock.

With members from elephant9, Bushman's Revenge, Shining and Grand General, Red Kite has achieved cult status for its way of drawing on the great, deep seventies heritage, with room for both headbanging and flipping out.

Full Earth is the love child of drummer Ingvald Vassbø (Kanaan/Motorpsycho), and with the help of all of Kanaan and a few other members, he combines suggestive riffing with inspiration from minimalists like Terry Riley and jazz. The drone is everywhere - and in Full Earth, Vassbø & co follow this track through the musical reality.
